My apologies to the owner of the beautiful Harland and Wolf historic boat on eBay after my little nephew accidentally purchased it for £52k while playing with my phone. The mobile eBay app (I don't have a computer) then did not have the option to complete the cancellation. Finally sorted after I had to confess to my other half and get his help to sort it on his computer. My heartfelt apologies to Matthew, the boat's owner, for my being such a right royal pain in the arse. ? Think my heart palpitations have just about settled down!

Don't .... I feel wretched enough! ?

It could have been worse, it could have been a £300k fat-boat that an owner on the verge of bankruptcy thought you had given him a stay of execution.

No doubt he'll be on the bottle tonight drowning his hopes and future.

That's the one. Have no idea what is happening with my tech at the moment. Didn't mean to double post. Think I had better lock up my phone & tablet and go and sit on my own in a cupboard for a few days before I get into any more scrapes. Any chance the duplicate posts could be merged? PS Nice looking boat though. I had been indulging in some late night boat porn and my nephew obviously clicked on 'Ebay recently viewed' or something like that.

Oh wow, what a characteristic boat.

To be honest I wouldn't feel bad about the mishap. Arguably eBay is not really the "right place" to be selling boats anyway! More likely to attract the wrong type of buyer/interest etc.

Topics merged....

No I don't want it! MrsM, I think you have passed up a fine opportunity, but I guess your nephew's pocker money wouldn't stretch that far...

Thank you for doing that. Thought a 71ft historic boat would be a bit of a challenge for a first-timer ....... and he is only 4! ?
