Popular Post Jamesy_C
Just completed our first boating break. We used Silsden Boats (Richards Drum) and we absolutly loved it and will do it again. Apart from a Micklethwaitw Swing Bridge failing on us and having to call the emergency helpline (apparently this bridge is notorious), itnwas a great exeperience. Silsden Boats are also a great company to use. 4

Mike Todd
To us, and within reason, coping with the various problems that the canal system throw at you is all part of the experience and that includes the few occasions when calling out CaRT is necessary. If encountering a drained pound automatically cause you to throw a wobbly then perhaps you are in the wrong leisure activity. Canal cruising is not always for everyone - most of us are self confessed eccentrics anyway. I suspect that those who find this unacceptable are too often on an over-tight schedule. Anyone with a modicum of experience knows to build into their plan a good margin for the unexpected. Sometimes that6 unexpected just happens to be spotting something near to the canal that provokes a desire to go and take a look or even a half day visit. We first hired a boat on the canals from Silsden Boats for a couple of holidays and like you were very pleased with them. We enjoyed it so much that we are still boating 43 years later so you have many years of enjoyment to come. Happy cruising Howard
