Interesting, although I suppose it’s academic as both boats are only fit for scrap anyway.  

 

I see tragically, Warmglow’s generator survived the inferno!

Both of the steel boats are being re-sold as 'fire damaged for rebuilding'.

I wonder how economically viable that actually is. I mean it would cost a fortune if you were paying someone to do it. I suppose a dedicated DIYer might be tempted, but it’s an awful lot of work.

They built Dutch barges as well 2 that I saw anyway, nice looking things but no weed hatch which meant that I had to tow one to Torksey when it got a carpet around the prop!

I don't quite follow your comment. That boat was stolen from its mooring on the south Oxford and set alight in the Braunston area. Whether by the thieves or others I know not. 

I don't see how galvanic  corrosion had anything to do with what happened.
