Oh - I presume all the competitors will have a timer set to take part in this at noon on Saturday?

I mean does anyone really need an excuse to sound their horn?

Will there be bonus points for the best toot...?

Thank you for the reminder - I've set an alarm so we don't forget!

I'm not sure having @tree monkey stood on your tug deck going toot, toot will secure a bonus

You have obviously never heard me toot.

We are off to Market Drayton on Wednesday evening, needing to reach the BCN for the start on Friday. I suspect our planned starting point can be fairly easily deduced...!

For those that don't already know, we're not defending our title this year.  We were fully set up to do it again, but the boat we were going to be doing the challenge on is currently in the dry dock - rebooked after Wigan Flight was 8 weeks late opening after winter maintenance.

Congratulations in advance to this year's winners, but don't rest too easy as we'll be back another time.

Sue says we aren't allowed to claim undefeated champions for 2020 and 2021 because Covid, but we haven't seen any other winners for those years ... ;)

Oi!

You told me you were full!

Damned fairweather friends ...

We will be full once in position at the starting point.

We just have 24 locks to do today without a team to help.....

You could join us but sharing a cross-bed with Tree Monkey is not what anyone would inflict upon friends!

Oy. If I knew I was sharing I would have a wash and a shave and promise to be good

Ah, that's a shame - I was hoping we'd be meeting up at the super secret start location!

And, I believe that Firefly won in 2020 - even if it was a bit of a different competition that year :)

If you're not on your boat then does it count?

Perhaps if you can stand in your bath and salute while sound it that will do?

Vulpes has been on the Birmingham level since last Thursday evening and is currently keeping a low profile until heading for the chosen start point on Thursday.

Is the low profile that you are keeping so you can fit the Dudley Tunnel? 🤣😅

That was a few years ago when we legged Vulpes through Dudley Tunnel on the challenge.
