Mad Harold Posted April 30, 2021 Report Share Posted April 30, 2021 Fibreglass is quite a wonderful material for boats. No rust or rot,light and durable. Fibreglass takes a bit of lighting,but when it does catch light,it really does burn fiercely,and produces highly toxic smoke and fumes. All grp boat owners should be aware it's flammability. Some years ago I was in the States,and travelled many miles in Pontiac buses which had fibreglass bodies,and to quote one of their drivers; "lovely vehicles,but they sure do burn easily" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
