Yanmar gear box issue

Hi all, last Saturday my gearbox output shaft broke, its a yanmar engine with a kanzaki gear box anyone got any advice on where to find a reasonably priced replacement????

I am afraid not from inland sources but if this is a proper marine Yanmar then there are agents around the coast. However, I have never seen a failed output shaft on any gearbox. This does not mean it has not happened but its rarer so unless you can see the two sides of the broken shaft I suspect misdiagnosis. That is unless the engine alignment was way out but you would then have been suffering from horrible vibrations. If its something a man in a shed put together then that gearbox might be from a machine that does not create end thrust on the shaft so using it on a boat is likely to end in failure.
