No, it’s not. Kitchen roll is much more robust. You can wipe down a work top with wet kitchen roll; try the same thing with wet toilet tissue and you’ll see the difference. More important if you have a macerator loo ...

I was going to say exactly the same but held back because I just know he will point out his loo is a dump through.......

Just wait.

Not with the cheap stuff I buy you can't. It's no more robust than toilet paper.

No, as I already said, it's a cassette toilet. That's what this thread is about after all.  ?

My Vacuflush is made by Dometic. It's been very good. I guess some models are crap but I don't think you can generalise about the entire brand if you've only used one model.

Ok. I used to have a sea toilet going into a pump out tank on my first boat. I don't remember it using that much water but it was a while ago so perhaps I've just forgotten. Do they give water usage in the toilet specs or does it just depend on how much you pump it?

Yes agreed, I have dometic products that are good but the cassette type replacement for the Thetford type bog is BLOODY awful. I was amazed at how crap it was hence skipping the lot. I should have complained but couldnt be arsed ?

Was that something to do with the toilet seat?     :D

One advantage I can see over our Thetford is it looks like it has a double lock to prevent the bowl flap being opened when the holding tank is not in situ.

I have personal experience of why this is advantagous..??

They say it is for caravans, camper vans and motor homes. No good for a boat then! ?

The ceramic lining of the bowl looks a nice feature. Hopefully thick enough not to crack under er load...
