Apologies not required. (unfortunately) the world is full of scammers and spammers; some of them get through.

This is exactly what happened with me just now. Apologies Athy. I had assumed, probably naively, that action relating to reports of spam would be automated.

Appreciate the mods have done a great job keeping on top of this as always. Just as a FYI though - if enough people report a spammer, the forum system will take corrective action automatically, in most cases. Obviously we can't give full details as to how this works exactly but please bear this in mind. That said, the risk of this attack happening again in this particular form is now reduced.

You dont need to report it.

 

To delete it, first what device are you on?

 

On most devices to the right of the title of the message you will see 'options' with a down arrow. If you click on or touch that you will see a 'delete' option.

Thanks HN I think we've had well over 200 reports of this now and they are still coming, I've got rid of 40 or 50 but Athy deserves all the credit for his marathon task.
