This white sailing boat was found by police officers left on the motorway

 

 

POLICE officers made an unusual discovery on the hard shoulder of the motorway – a sailing boat.

The white boat was spotted by officers from West Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit.

Officers took to twitter with a series of sailing-related puns but the mystery remains of how it ended up left on the motorway in West Yorkshire.

 

 

Our Motorway Patrol does knot know how this got here, maybe someone took the sea-nic route?

Bouy, whoever left this here needs a stern talking to!

Looks like it is still on its launching trolley. I expect someone 'borrowed' it and it came off the back of a flatbed or trailer. Maybe they just kept the motor. Mine is being reverse engineered into small pieces.

Rather sloppy reporting, no surprise! An old safety launch from a sailing club it may be, but by no means is it a sailing boat. Is that just the hub, lost a wheel perhaps? A bit of a Dell Quay dory traffic story
