What's the chance that the hull has been damaged to the extent that it is not safe to take the ship to sea? Where is the nearest place it could be taken for inspection and repair? There can't be many drydocks big enough for a ship that size.

Apparently, Maffi has moved away from Tooleys now so it could be snarfed in there for a checkup.

Not sure the digger is man enough for this......

I'm wondering what keeps the water in tbh, there must be more than a load of sand.

You wouldn't want to be sat there if that becomes a beach that's for sure :)

It may show that Uri Geller can read tide tables. I understand that HW today at Port Suez  is at approximately 1030  this morning and  2300 tonight so if it happens to refloat at around either of those  times who knows whether it was caused by a rising tide or the mind power of Daily Star readers? Only cynics would suggest there might be a coincidence!

That digger is about as much use as a bent teaspoon anyway! :D

Horrendous; there're live animals onboard 20 livestock ships in the queue. I don't think there's any excuse to transport live animals around, unless of course it's for breeding or racing purposes. Presuming the animals are for food, it would be better if they were slaughtered before they start their journey, keeping carcases in cold storage.

A pleasure boat laden with sex toys has been blocked from entering the Suez Canal, causing widespread frustration for customers worldwide. The ship carrying around 20 containers full of ‘dildos, vibrators and male masturbators’ is stuck in the ongoing impasse, with no climax in sight. It’s one of around 230 ships waiting in a ‘traffic jam’ in the red sea while efforts to free up the passage continue. Dutch company EDC Retail – who run the biggest online sex toys shop in the Netherlands and Belgium – predict they are losing millions because they are unable to replenish their stocks which were snapped up during lockdown and Valentine’s Day.

‘It is annoying that such a hitch will continue for a long time before the rhythm in the transport chain is restored.’

It’s not the first time that EDC Retail has lost its buzz recently. Production of their goods ceased for three weeks in China at the start of the Covid outbreak. Restrictions on air freight during the pandemic have added to the woes, meaning the company is struggling to keep up with customer demand.

Calm down Alan, Your back order will only be slightly delayed

If they switched them all on and the vibration compacted the sand, it might just shake the ship loose.

If Alan's order doesn't come soon, he's going to tell them to stick it up their ...

This was a special order that we placed for delivery to Belgium and the Netherlands specifying that only 'extra-large' should be shipped, but labelled 'small' , just so the Europeans are further demoralised against an anatomically superior group.

Is this a case of a canal stoppage causing a carnal stoppage?
