Hi I’m going to commission a Sailaway I just wondered is Elton Moss and any good builder I know they build abroad how can anyone recommend a really good builder in the UK I’m looking to spend about 35,000 for a 57 foot trad

I think that's harsh on trabants.....there is a collingwood Widebeam opposite us which has some cracking rust streaks coming from the bottom of the rubbing strakes...they don't look like they are even tack welded on the bottom joint....going to be an expensive fix in a few years...and all for saving a few hours welding when it was a bare shell

There have been several posts on here about problems on new build boats.With your budget,I am sure you could buy a good used boat.It may need a bit of tinkering to get it the way you want it, but could save a lot of money,stress and heart ache (and head ache) and as a plus point,you can go cruising immediately.
