I used to know an old house long since converted into flats but the entrance hall was all marble pillars and posh stuff - all painted. Real skill.

Where I used to work we had GRP pillars flanking the entrance as an example of what the factory could do, they got a very talented lady in to make them look like marble and she did it by painting with feathers.
