Boat stolen called Ruby

Just read on the other side that a cafe  boat has been stolen in Lymm. I hope it is not the widebeam which was there the last time we went past. I read in one of the canal mags that the couple had fitted it out as a cafe and then he took ill and I think died.

It may well be the wide beam as it was referred to as a barge but on the Bridgewater they seem to think everything is a barge.

When I started boating, there was a story of a yard owner somewhere on the Shroppie who had noticed the owners never came and simply sold almost all the boats at his mooring and scarpered to Spain with the proceeds.

I thought you were going to say that he started a time share company with the proceeds, but that might have been controversial.

Had this from Northants Police this morning.

Another one?

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for information regarding a theft of a Narrow Boat from Cosgrove Marina where unknown persons have taken the vessel by unknown means.

This happened on or around the 8th December 2020

Well we could do with a bit more information than that Bob....?

Other than the crime reference number, that's all that was in the Rozzer's email bulletin!

Not even a boat name.

I wonder if anyone has probed the mooring with a long shaft just in case its on the bottom?

Well there was a boat sunk at Cosgrove by the December floods.
