Moorings/Marinas Near Froghall (Caldon)

Where/what are the nearest <non residential> moorings either linear of marina type near Froghall?

There's a boat club near Endon (Stoke Boat Club I think). But it's all very narrow up the Caldon. There's usually a few boats moored near the Black Lion at Consall Forge, but they aren't permanent moorings. Can't think of anywhere else.

Through the tunnel there's a little marina with a set of pontoons, but again not permanent, though I can't see why there'd be a problem staying there a while as it isn't exactly busy as a lot can't get to it.

I thought there were some moorings on the off side just before the tunnel but can't be sure

Springwood Park farm at Cheddleton advertises moorings.

There are some on-line moorings around Hazlehurst, can find details if required. Seem to remember that the  accommodation bridge that collapsed recently was used by some of them!

Do you mean long term moorings or do you want to know visitor moorings?

IIRC travelling up there (Caldon) some years ago, there were some moorings near a branch. But this may be my imagination. ETA I think this was Hazlehurst.

 

NB mooring can be on the T+M too same-ish vicinity.

Heritage on the Macclesfield isn't a million miles from the Calden.

There's a few online and farm moorings on the lower Macc too. I think I spotted a gap at Red Bull at the junction last year. Depends how near the top of the Caldon you need to be.
