At 06:00 this morning I saw a fox walk across the frozen canal from the towpath and into my garden.

 

To be honest I was surprised he didn't fall through.

If you are quick I think there may  some ice left on the Cam,  Upware on  one of the flooded meadows

It was almost 2" thick outside our boat, however, there is clear water only 30 feet away, it depends on where the wind blew and what shelter the water had earlier in the week.

Given the recent advice on composting loos, let's hope they weren't sussing out potential disposal sites! ??
