Good to see some good high readings and that you are back to normal.? 

Just as a matter of interest Richard10002, after you had a looked behind all the sockets did you try the circuit to see if it didn’t trip?

Just asking as I find it unusual that a cable that does not show any damage and just lifted out of water would make such a difference.

Tried the circuit several times, including after checking inside every socket. It tripped every time until it had "dried out", if that's what it did.

 

The electrician said there was some stiffness in the cable, that could be due to heat, and he will definitely be replacing it in the not too distant future.

 

He didn't go under the floor, so hasn't checked the full length of the cable. There may/must be a nick that he didn't see.
