Disposal of pump out holding tank

I'm keeping an eye on this topic as I am  replacing my waste tank in the new year.  If the second hand waste tank market picks up that will be good,

I am working on the principle that it went in the boat, so it should come out again.  What could possibly go wrong ? ?
