A fair point although miles is an exaggeration - my son was moored maybe half to three quarters of a mile away, beyond the long term moorings.

 

Last night there were two Black Prince boats moored up, one on an empty long term mooring. That one looked empty. On the other the hirers were expecting to go home today. I've no idea what Black Prince are planning to do with them - the second was 70' so the only choices are to wait (and disappoint whoever is due to hire it on Saturday) or reverse it 1.5 miles as we did without the benefit of a girly button presumably.

But why do the lock the bottom one when there is a winding hole just above it. Why not lock No 2
