On my bank's phone app the decimal point is to the right of the keyboard, not where it is on anything else. With the result that when typing in the sum to be paid or transferred, I usually c*ck it up.  Did they mean to make it so difficult?

The sat nav on my car has user selectable keyboards, qwerty and a logical abc version.

 

The abc one takes twice as long to input a post code simply because it feels so unfamiliar.

Mechanical necessity - there are no electronics in those devices. They are, however, adjustable (programmable, if you will) to whatever entry code number you fancy.
