RAL number for Gardner Grey

Redshaw's (who sold us ours) will - and can probably supply a tin of it too.

Walsh's Engineering should also know.

Probably not RAL, more likely to be from one of the BS series.

Just found this from @martyn 1 (2014)

 

There is a bit of a disagreement between the various Gardner people between what is the correct gardner grey (Basically it's because they were not all the same) but anyway the general concensus is RAL 7011 or RAL 7010. Ourselves and I believe Redshaw and Danny Williamson all use/used RAL7010 Tarpaulin grey. This appears to be the closest to the majority of Gardners we have had come through the workshop in original grey paint.

 

But to be honest most have been every other colour possible other than grey.................

 

Available direct from many paint suppliers. Symphony coatings (Narrowboat paints) for one and paragon paint for another

I did mine with paragon paints Gardner Grey.

Nice. Did you undercoat it first and what did you use to get rid of the grime. My engine is very dirty?

No undercoat. A lot of the existing paint peeled off. I think I used panel wipe to degrease after wire wool. It's a horrible job in situ.

Is that ceramic coating on the exhaust manifold? If so where did you get it done? I have a spare manifold for our engine and I would like to get it coated as rust flakes slowly spall off the installed one.
