West Stockwith Lock will be closed as a member of staff has tested positive for Coronavirus.

Passage will not be available through the lock from 4pm today and throughout the weekend.  As per Government guidelines we are currently awaiting test results for the remaining staff on site.

There will be no passage through Keadby Lock from 4pm Friday 21st August.

We will update this notice on Monday.

Keadby lock also closed as the staff at West Stockwith work side by side with those at Keadby.

Negative COVID test results received for remaining staff on site.

West Stockwith & Keadby Lock are open for navigation.

On the other hand should the people who have been in contact with the infected person have quarantined for a couple of weeks ?

They may be infected but not yet show any signs on the test .

Depends on the nature of the contact.

 

And of course we dont know that they might just be isolating.

 

And the lock is being staffed by lockies who have had no contact whatsoever?

Yes, but let’s not turn the Thread into a Trent Lock Keepers moan and bash, like many do here with any posts about the Trent Lock Keepers.
