The angle of the dangle makes a big difference.

Replaced the Solar last night after finishing painting the roof, and looked this morning to see :

13.2v / 0.1 amps from the panel, 12.9v / 0.1a going into battery.

Ooops - that's not very good have I damaged the panel or controller disconnecting things ?

Then realised the panel was not into the Sun.

The boat is moored East / West and the panel is hinged at the sides so it can tilt slightly forwards or backwards, it was tilted forwards (only probably 10 or 15 degrees) so not picking up much direct sunlight, tilted it 'backwards' (to the rising Sun in the East) and all of a sudden was achieving :

89.3v / 1.2 amps from the panel  13.9v / 7.3a going into the battery.

Even tho' part of the panel was in shade from the radar arch it made an enormous difference.

Not yet wiped of the overnight rain !
