Looking for our old NB

Sold our 42' Stowe hill built boat in 1998/9 at crick XENOPUS would love to see her again l know it's a long shot probably had name change! When sold had name LE &M Cooper on the side ,dark green livery tug front trad stern.dose this mean anything to any one?.

 We have dozens of photos of her but not one shows her reg number .fingers crossed someone will read this and message me . Mavis Cooper  coopermavis@aol.com.

Not many 42ft Stowe Hill boats listed on the boat index can you remember the engine HP that might narrow it down.

More paperwork...

Original owner Prior 

Boat length with fenders 47 feet actual length of steel 44 feet.

Part fitted.

Built 1987

 

Boat number 034 TG4 (done before the proper craft reg numbers came in 1990). Stowe Hills 34th boat, 4th tug that year.

 

There was also a model commissioned of the boat in 1998

Oh Matty that is the. Boat  Mr Prior had the hull built to his spec as he had a daughter in a wheelchair ,doors wider etc. But after 9 months realised was not working so put Xenopus up for Sale ,that is when we bought her .now all I need to do is find her.

Having gone through the listing looking for 47ft boats with 1998/9 registrations there is only one

No, not yet.

All I can think is that the boat was originally owned by someone (from Rushden), and ended up on the Nene or Middle Levels where records were either sparse or non existent. 

Maybe at some point the boat has been renamed and subsequently come to CRT territory, or EA after better record keeping was deemed necessary

...or is still out there moored up somewhere that it doesnt really matter.

yes Whilton marina .It must be the lockdown that is making me nostalgic and wanting to find out what became of her we are now in our late 70sand have traveled a lot but still put our time narrow boatingas as the best time .photo first trip out.image.jpeg.cb89c73584c36b42b6bd577afb8dea58.jpeg
