Nothing with that name appears on the boat listing on Canalplan.  Well it does, but that's a 22ft Freeman on the Thames.

I've looked through the Stowe Hill history listings since 1984 and it shows no Xenopus, 42 footer or Cooper as a buyer. !!

Do you have a photograph of the boat that you can scan or post on here??

Google search shows the owner of L'atalante 4 years ago as a member on here (who hasn't visited since 2016).

Also Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dswUgOaEQWI

Someone has welded the windows up and fitted portholes if the drawing was correct

No, not yet.

All I can think is that the boat was originally owned by someone (from Rushden), and ended up on the Nene or Middle Levels where records were either sparse or non existent.

Maybe at some point the boat has been renamed and subsequently come to CRT territory, or EA after better record keeping was deemed necessary

...or is still out there moored up somewhere that it doesnt really matter.

This is a very old photo....

I think taken in Whilton Marina ...

There is a reg plate on there

Just been tinkering with Photoshop on those images in in the hope of deciphering the reg number but sadly there is not enough detail to pull anything from.
