Thetford C200 Seat hinge pins

Featured Posts

Morning, Just getting Legacy ready to go out for the first time and I have been cleaning around the hinges on the toilet seat/lid area. Took the hinge pins out (brute force and a large blade screw driver) and did a very good job of cleaning things up.

Now is the time to put the hinge pins back again and I am unable to get enough force applied to the pin to push it back into the recess. I am reduced to thinking I may need to drill a hole through both sides of the lid so I can, with inserts, use a clamp to push the pins back. Before doing so can anyone help with a non-destructive way of doing it?

Thanks
