What do I need to go on the river weaver?

Hi all

im new to boating and I’m a bit unsure what I need to have and to do in order to put my boat in the river weaver 

do I need a license? I’m not mooring up I just want to put it in and have a cruise and then take it out the same day 

what keys will I need ?

and is there places to turn around?

do I need a bss certificate ? If so how much does it cost

You will most likely need a license, which requires insurance and a BSS.

You need a CRT licence, insurance, and most likely a BSS.

 

If you are putting your boat in in Winsford flash then I do not know what the regulations/requirements are in the flash.

If you put your boat in in Winsford Flash slipway and go for a trip down the river and back but don't go through a lock or need the bridge swung then the chances of anybody stopping you and wanting to see a licence are very close to zero.
