The shower pump normally refers to the pump that pumps water out of the shower tray.

 

What you are asking about is the normal domestic water pump. You have what you have so make the best of it. If you choose a domestic water pump with too high a delivery volume it will cycle on and off (most do) and if you choose one of too high a cut out pressure it will force the calorifier's PRV off its seat and that wastes water and cause the pump to run all the time/frequently. The pump cut out pressure should be  5 to 10psi less than the PRV opening pressure.

 

Now what about the accumulator and expansion tank?

No. Tony is referring to the 12V pump which takes water from the water tank and pumps it to all your cold and hot taps, including the shower. The term 'shower pump' is usually used for the separate pump which takes water from the shower tray and pumps it out through the side of the boat.

No, the normal 12v one that pumps the water from your tank to the taps ,ie the 'domestic water system pump' (not the engine water pump)

As Tony says, because the shower tray is below the water line you then need a pump-out pump to get the water from the bottom of the boat to 'outside' of the boat. This is 'the shower pump'.

There was a recent thread that would be worth reading.

 

What are you going to use to supply the hot water? Some sort of instantaneous heater, or a calorifier with a store of hot water? For pump selection, the pressure needs to be chosen to suit any PRV, or other piece of equipments restrictions. A pump with a high open flow rate specification will only deliver a trickle through restrictive pipework, so for a shower with a higher flow rate use straight short runs of bigger pipe, 22mm rather than 15mm all the way from the tank to the shower. If you have a shower with a high flow rate, then you will have to fill your tank up more often. How important is this to you? Most boaters seem to do OK with 15mm pipework and a fairly bog standard 11 litres/minute rated water pump. I have a small bath tub, rather than a shower as I prefer a soak.
