Hello folks, any idea when Anderton Boat Lift will re-open?

Anderton lift is  pretty much seen by CRT as a fairground attraction,  relying on the trip boat as the lift's principal income source.  Any time there is a fault, the slots are prioritised for the trip boat, to keep hhe money flowing and the punters quiet.  So, once CRT have worked out a way to run the trip boat and comply with COVID regulations I expect the lift will be back.

In the meanwhile there is a rumour that CRT are looking to relocate the lift to the Tees barrage, as that is close as they could get it to Barnard Castle.?

Great, thanks.

No update to https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/enjoy-the-waterways/safety-on-our-waterways/coronavirus/coronavirus-and-boating-faqs/which-locks-and-bridges-are-open yet, which confused me.
