Folding electric bikes

Thanks for all the comments so far.

The idea of having a folding bike was so that Mrs dor could take it on the train when visiting relatives but as noted above, the weight is significant for a sub-50kg person.  It is debatable whether the additional cost is worth it for the amount of use it will get.   It would be nice to have an e-bike, but for the occasional trip into town a cheaper one would probably suffice.

For portability, I think you'll find a Brompton hard to beat.
