No flow on tap

Featured Posts

Check any aerator on the end of the tap- it may be scaled up. Viakal or kettle descaler will fix that though you may have to take the aerator off.

If not scale,  check the washer has not detached itself from the jumper inside the headworks.

Hello.
All of a sudden there seems to be very little flow on my kitchen tap. Strangely the shower seems to be ok.
could there be an internal blockage in tap?

There is a filter on pump so seems unusual

cheers

If you have a water saving shower head it doesn’t pass much water so could hide an upstream restriction that the kitchen tap reveals.  I would measure the time to fill say 10 litres from the tap and the shower, if the shower is faster than the tap I would suspect the tap, if the same then maybe it’s the pump or the supply to the pump.

you’ve just saved me from what I thought was looking like a Sunday plumbing adventure.

the mesh on inside of tap nozzle all blocked!

thanks so much!   If you’re ever in Brentford let me know. I owe you a beer
