I am surprised we have had no evidence of reduction in crime rates, as police now have good reason to stop anyone behaving furtively, or in the wrong place.

Mrs. Athy and i were discussing a kindred topic the other evening. We decided that house burglaries must be almost non-existent because everyone's at home - but that business premises, being largely empty, must be more at risk than usual. I guess the same applies to (non-liveaboard) boats.

As for "police": well yes, but there are no more of them than there were a couple of months ago and they can't be ubiquitous.

I thought they were ubiquitous by nature...

Thought Boris recruited 20,000? So there should be at least 4,000 more.

Police in Gloucester seem to be focussed on people visiting "The Range" and "breaking the law" by "buying non essential items".

Apparently I had a break in at the office - some pigeons forced the kitchen window open and had a party - landlady rang to tell me... Wildlife making a return to urban areas...

I'm rather hoping that when I return to my parish from exile the town will be clear of drugs - or are the county lines essential travel?

Apparently not. One of the lads Liam  works with had three idiots try and break into their occupied house. Their very large mastiff type dog who is normally as soft as a brush is now at risk of being put down because he "dealt " with one of the intruders by force ?

Don't know about anywhere else, but Dyfed Powys Police have reported several stops where considerable quantities of drugs have been found, and friends on the railway say that the obvious "mules" of the country lines have reduced, mostly because at the start of this they stood out like sore thumbs and got booted off the trains.

All the fun stuff - sex n' drugs and rock and roll - has been hard hit by this, 'sex workers' and drug dealers have had no government help whatsoever and rock n' roll in pubs and suchlike has vanished. Where's all the fun gone? Am on my third jigsaw, have planted out some petunias and dug every weed out of the lawn and I tell you, its no substitute.

Presumably you didn't see the news, a prostitute was travelling around in a camper van and posting locations ahead of time on her farceybook page, meeting up in car parks and charging £30 a time and having 100's of customers - she has been seeing up to 7 an hour.

Her minder sits in the cab, and drives off to the next location when the queue (all keeping 2mts spacing) has all gone.

They need 2-metre spacing? Gosh, they must be virile chaps.

I did read a report in the news a while back that crime was much reduced. As are many other things like A&E admissions

Probably not true. Read Section 3 (1a) Dangerous Dogs Act.
