Nightwatch
Why, possibly, has my control panel ammeter started showing 16 volts? I have tapped it a couple of times and it goes down to 14 volts ish! I look again and it’s gone back up to 16 volts.

You must have some seriously crossed wires somewhere.
Tony Brooks
Lets assume it a voltmeter. Do you have an advanced alternator controller, some of them will pulse the charging voltage.
TheBiscuits
Solar controller trying to do an end of the month equalisation cycle? The tracers do this once per month by default.
Nightwatch
Okay you guys. I’ll now call it a voltmeter! Been down to the water point, just turned the engine off and it was showing what it has done for years, about 14 volts. So, it may have just had a rush of blood to the face. Seems okay. Thanks.
