If this wasn't so serious.... this would be hilarious. Panic before McDonald closes.

Saw similar today, a McD drive through with traffic backing onto a main road.

It's hardly a massive loss is it, I occasionally use them when desperate but it's fuel not food.

Can't remember what decade it was when I last had a McDonald, I found they could easily become addictive.

I actualy had one last month and found it nearly, not quite, but nearly edible. the last time I had one about twenty years ago they were inedible so there has been a slight improvement.

Yup, fuel not food, Burger King is slightly better but not enough to make it worth a special trip

If I stop at McDonalds it will only be because I've run out of diesel.

Not adverse to Maccy D’s. I know it’s rubbish but it’s okay every now and then.

Far less of a problem with a drive through, surely?

Of course. There were two lanes queuing going into one lane. I stood and watched for a couple of minutes. Wasn’t very polite.

Heres a laugh for you all. Mys sister 63 phoned my wife today to ask her how to roast a piece of pork as her delivery had brought pork instead of the chicken she asked for. I suppose they deliver whatever they have do they? I have never done online food shopping. Anyway my sister lives on pre prepared food from M and S or eats at dumps like prett a manky or whatever they call it but is now buying actual food as she is self locked up lol. How many out there that have bought all the food that peeps like us know how to cook are actualy clueless as to what to do with it?

I did read a comment elsewhere that one day last week the highest search result on Google was 'how to cook pasta'.

Re online shopping, there's a box you have to untick if you don't want substitutes. The best substitute we've had was when I ordered a 1.5 litre bottle of whiskey. It was substituted with 2 litre bottles of the stuff. I didn't complain obvs. If you don't like the substituted item, the delivery man will take it back.

The most humorous subs we had today was:

ASDA White Basmati Rice 1kg
Substitute for 1 X ASDA Easy Cook Basmati White Rice 1kg

Dunno what makes rice ‘easy cook’. It’s not like it’s difficult.

They use better meat, but the buns are just as bad.

It is "steamed", so cooks faster, but tastes crunchy/chalky. Might be in a bag with perforations and a handle

I think you leave the 'easy cook' stuff in the bag when you put it in the water.

Not much else it can be, really!

Nope, it’s just in a 1kg plastic bag like ‘normal’ rice.

Maybe you don't have to add water!

Okay, so I just went and read the destructions... boil water, add rice, simmer for 10-12 mins...

are you sure, ..... no mention of salt? lid? etc?

Recpie for boaters, [save gas] measure rice, measure water, bring to boil. Gas off, teatowel on top of lid, wait 20 minutes. lift lid and serve.

Baked spud tonight, with butter .... best if baked in wood ash, else gritty skins, unless using foil. I might try a chicken thigh.
