Diy isolation-blinds!

I thought while I isolate... and wait for the Severn to open... I'd have a go at making myself some blinds. 

 

The front is green hessian and the back is blackout material. Both from

Great shop/warehouse not far from the cut

Thick wadding from Dunelm Mill between the fabrics to give the saggy hessian a bit of "body" and maybe get better insulation. 

 

Stick of wood at the top and reused brass rod sewn in at the bottom 

Press stud at the bottom and top straps

 

My sewing isn't great but I'm happy enough to carry on with the rest of the windows
