On this day in 2012 - River Sarthe France. Levels had been lowered to facilitate maintenance. The green contraptions are mini hydro electricity generators.

An interesting word which I assume is a corruption of "Guernsey".

It's also used in Jamaican English, as "ganzee", though I doubt that they need to wear one very often down there.
