The view currently  is very different with the trees obscuring the reservoir on the right. I didn’t  appreciate it at all. Both are kept low currently presumably a Toddbrook legacy.
The left was used for swimming, which must be difficult with the levels low.

That's why I needed to borrow a boat!  If I could have got up there I'd have towed her in November, but in truth if it hadn't breached at Rishton she would have been probably below Wigan now.  She was only about an hour away from the breach when it happened but on the wrong side of it for her journey.

Wandered along a section of the towpath in Berkhamsted this morning before netball, here are a few photos from it.  All taken between locks 51 and 53.  The cormorant was quite funny because when I spotted it, it didn't have its wings open.  But just as I changed the massive zoom lens onto the camera it stuck them out as if to say "okay then, but make sure you get my best side!".
