Discrepancy re starter battery voltage

Anyone know why my Mastervolt MICC says my starter battery voltage is 10.34v when it’s actually 13.8v according to my multimeter direct from the terminals? It’s constantly fed from a 100w solar panel through a episolar MPPT.

Where is the MICC connected? After an isolator?  Check connections at both ends.

How about using your multimeter to pin point the fault?

1/ Measure across the MICC terminals that monitor the start battery.

If Reading is around 13.8 the MICC (Or your multimeter???) is faulty.

Otherwise;-

2/ Measure between Battery + and MICC +

If reading is around 3V the the fault is in this cable.

Step back through the wiring until you get a change back to 0V;- That is where the fault lies.

If reading is 0V then all is well withis lead, repeat this test with the negative.

You are now a fully fledged electrical test engineer. :-)

Will do?

If you have excluded dodgy connections etc it could be the MICC itself. Mine started to give some very strange readings. Expensive to replace, if I recall correctly somewhere in the region of £450. I managed to source a 2nd hand one in the US for about  £110
