I'm getting a feeling that any boat stood on the hard in Felixstowe is unlikely to be a NB - maybe a Dutch-Barge ? If it is a wide beam it could almost double (compared to a NB) the cost as Police approval is required, only travel at certain times and a second vehicle and driver (escort) will be needed. I moved my Widebeam 200 miles last October and the truck & escort cost £2,300 added to that is the Hoist / crane onto the truck and the hoist / crane/ off the truck Costs for a shorter run are unlikely to be much less as the truck / driver would probably not have time for another job on his Tacho hours. It will still take, in effect, a 'full day'
muddymoo
It's a 6ft 9 beam narrow boat l

Just being nosey - how did a NB end up in Felixstowe ? Edited March 11, 2020 by Alan de Enfield

Dav and Pen
There must be plenty of hauliers in the Felixstow area who have an extending trailer and plenty of cranes around. The cranage will probably be more than the truck unless the yards you are using have something on site.
starman
Another vote for https://bargemovers.com/ Ray has years of experience doing this stuff - will be able to organise craneage and trucking.
