Help identifying a location.

In the new episode of Endeavour on Sunday night, a girl is found murdered next to a canal. I can see in the image that there is a lock behind the Bridge, Can someone identify the location please. Thank you.

These TV & film types never get it right, do they.

"There's a lot of interest in canals and boating, so we'll include it all in our story line, the viewers will like that!"

So we end up watching a story based in the sixties, claiming The Oxford canal has wide locks.

We then see an old boy living on a boat which has a distinctly non 60s design to it, enforced by having a Registration Plate on the side about 15 years before they were thought of.

Next we hear that this old chap was logged going through Braunston the next day, good going that.

At the end we learn he was found dead on board at Gas St the following day!!!!

Best of all when Plod go to visit this boat at Gas Street it's tied up in the deepest countryside surrounded by fields.

 

Perhaps they just shouldn't bother.

In consecutive shots they must have teleported.

 

More shots of the car park at Springwell no idea where the sluice was.

That was the best episode of the entire franchise.

 

Has Morse ever done a scene on the canal that isn't the Grand Union pretending to be the south Oxford?

One of our boats was featured in an american film on a canal that went from beachy head to dover I think.

they shoved a bunch of sheep on the boat, who promptly jumped over the sides when the saw the script.

sheep poo under the shuts not pleasant.
