The difference being the OP is NOT looking for a cheap liveaboard (just a liveaboard)

The answer being you haven't read the topic title?

Budget ?

Boat type ?

Boat size ?

Widebeam / narrowbeam ?

GRP or Steel ?

Country ?

And what is it about those for sale online that rules them out?

I've seen all of them on line (ebay, Apollo duck etc) nothing really jumping out, if anyone has any details of any boats or sites  please let me know, cheers, mark.

No point wasting time giving you leads if they are beyond your budget - I know of one (for example) for sale at over £300,000, in Newark is it worth giving you the details ?

What is expensive to one person can be cheap to another.

Help us to help you. What is your budget ?

sorry for that, took the dog out!  I don't think £300,000, is cheap however much money you have?!!!!!  £15,000-£20,000

To try and be helpful, I'd suggest that you keep saving as any Steel narrowboat boat that you buy at this price (the bottom end of the market) will probably need as much again spending over the next year or two.

A GRP boat has been mentioned a few times - at £8,000 it would give you cash available to survey, licence, insure and get safety certificates,

You are very unlikely to get anything better for your budget.

Milton Keynes? There are those who would say they'd still take to the water at any price, I suspect!  ;)

yeah I know, was wondering why its not sold already considering low price and rarity of dawncraft highbridge in the market.

The engine runs but can t be used with water leak as is.
Last cruised about a year ago as is used as base for weekends before we moved.
Don t know when last antifouled but not in the 3 years we have owned it.
There is a lot of surplus wiring that is no longer in use and outside could do with a coat of paint.
We have used electric heating.
It is water cooled from canal.
Couple of windows have leak at the moment.
The gas system hasn t been used since we had it as we haven t needed to use it.
Shower hasn t been used in 3 years so not sure if it works.
