Rochdale Canal closed between Locks 6 and 7

When someone’s booked and got up from lock lock 79 then I’ll believe it’s open.

There a big widebeam heading down, if they can get through you will be fine. Not sure if the "one gate only" lock at the bottom of Slattocks is fixed but one gate is plenty for a sensible boat.

They will get through if CRT are willing to put the water down. 
They wouldn’t for me the other week. 
That’s been my grumble. 
 

I don’t get it. 
the locks are padlocked at 79 and 64

because of vandals 
you have to book to have them opened

 

however after I booked, access was later denied because of a lack of water owing to vandals
 

so either the padlocks are not stopping the vandals

or 

they’re using it as an excuse to reserve water
