Indeed. In my opinion it is better to buy a boat (at the right price) that is in need of overplating and get it overplated by the company of your choice, than buy an overplated one with unknown provenance.

An example of provenance, of course, could be a receipt from a well-known repairer with a first-class reputation for repairs of that type, accompanied by a surveyor's report issued at the completion of the work.
