Fradley Junction mooring

Is Fradley Junction busy at this time of year? Heading south west, past the last lock (Shade House #19). Just trying to plan an overnight stop.

Not usually, plenty of space when I've been through in the Winter. This is probably the first year I wont have been through there at least once for about 7 years.

Last year we found it far less busy than it used to be even in mid summer.  We had no problem at all with moorings for 72 foot boat.

We have moored there in summer the last two years and not had any problems with available space.

We moored there last week below junction lock. Loads of room, virtually empty. The moorings at top end of the Coventry were a little fuller, but still space.

Not had an issue mooring at Fradley.

 

Just as an add in. Been in the Swan a few times over the years. Nice it were. But I’m fairly sure I’d enjoy the experience much more with more visitors rather than locals.

 

(I’ll say this quietly in case someone nearby hears, I’ve been in on my own and enjoyed it more as I get amongst the ‘crowd’ rather than being civilised sat at a table.)
