robtheplod
Hi All We're currently smartening up the bathroom, but the towel rail radiator lets it down. Its a white radiator, but as you can see its not in a very good state - have tried to clean it up but not really getting far, can anyone recommend what I should do? replace or use a magical wizzy cleaner? thanks!!! Sea Dog
Replace it - they're pretty cheap. Chrome might look nicer, then it'd feel like an upgrade too! 1

Guest
Put towels on it. The vertical bits look alright. Guest towel at the top/somewhere else like hook on door or whatever and No One Will Ever Know.
frangar
I’ve got one from these people https://www.sussexrange.co.uk They may not be the cheapest but being stainless steel they don’t rust...mines in a wet room bathroom and gets soaked every day so a steel one stood no chance. They also do a number of shapes and sizes!

I didn’t fancy a 2 pack coated towel rail..... The towel rail I’ve got is now 7 years old...looks as good as when I put it in..I did wince a bit at the price at the time but the chrome steel ones seem to rust for a past time. Guest
Akshually... there do seem to be some form of epoxy coated towel railing options in white/for few pennies/that claim to last. e.g. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/utrusta-towel-rail-white-50247216/ I'm sure ppl on here will tell me that is an _entirely_ different kind of epoxy. But suspect one cd find a nice(r than that link) looking option with the same general principal. Obviously I had no idea of this until I DuckDuckGo'd it a moment ago. Edited to add: Ooh! Look! 12V black epoxy ones: https://www.thekitchenhub.co.nz/search?type=product&q=epoxy Edited January 26, 2020 by TheMenagerieAfloat

It’s rust, so cleaning it will not help, either rub down and repaint it or change it - or if money is tight, ignore it.
