Carpenter recommendations - Leicester Line / Northamptonshire area

Hi All,

 

Can anyone make any recommendations for a carpenter near the Leicester line?

 

We're after a new bedroom cupboard (to supplement the existing one), some kitchen work done and other smaller jobs so getting a good carpenter would be great.

 

Also does anyone know what the standard rate per hour is for a carpenter?

 

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Around £20 per hour + travelling for a reasonably skilled chippy, but if you are looking for quality 'cabinet making' then maybe £30+ per hour.

If you have it done in a marina it could be £50 + VAT per hour

 

I recently paid £10 per hour (cash) for an 'odd job' man to help with paint removal & sanding down the boat for repainting. 

150 hours to get it ready for painting.
