LadyG
I've got 15mx2m Flotex to lay in saloon, any tips? I envisage unrolling it, then laying it longways, rolling it up the other way, to get it in place before cutting with Stanley knife. I have double sided tape. . ditchcrawler
Why stick it, are you planning to turn the boat upside down?
Mac of Cygnet
24 minutes ago, ditchcrawler said: Why stick it, are you planning to turn the boat upside down? Well they use double sided tape in houses, and they don't often turn upside down either. Isn't it to prevent creep?
Tony Brooks
Never had problems with creep on the boat but then I used polypropylene gel back that you can hose down if needed (take it outside first!!) gel back has a sort of firm rubber backing. Not a lot of help for Lady G though unless Flotex also has a gel back.
Sea Dog
Is there a 1980's carpet fitter in the house?

I have Flotex tiles in the galley, its a sort of rubber backing, they are not fixed down just laid on the ply floor and they don't move, you can lift them and scrub them is needs be. I had a jut car once, similar to a Moke and did the inside of that with flowtex as its quite happy getting very wet. Its quite a ridged carpet unlike any other
