Boat fire near Batchworth Lock?

As per the title. Someone told me that there was a boat fire near Batchworth lock, Rickmansworth yesterday afternoon. My source said pet dogs died in the fire. Anyone know anything about it?

No it was definitely at Rickmansworth. Will try and find out more.

I saw a 'go fund me' or similar on facebook. It was for a boat fire for a mother with children whose four dogs had died in the fire. No facts and I wondered if it was a scam

It is a poorer world when we have to think such things - it is bad enough that we cannot trust our Politicians, but when fellow boaters are involved …………………...
