already own a leisure boat but looking at buying a live aboard in retirement so practical issues, how do you get regular prescriptions if your constantly cruising, access to a gp, how do you vote in elections & which consituancy do you belong too?

You don’t need an address to register at a GP, and you can temp reg at a local practice if you need a repeat  prescription.  You can reg to vote with no fixed abode, add a postal vote, which can be sent to any address, including a post office along your route.  You will need to demonstrate a link to a constituency, so normally where your last bricks and mortar were.

For repeat prescriptions use an app like 

https://www.patientaccess.com/

 

When meds are running low we order online via the app and get the prescription sent to the nearest pharmacy. All you have to do is remember to change your designated pharmacy after a move.

It has worked well for us all summer as cc'ers.
