Weaver

I have just heard that the weaver has been declared open and the water levels will be checked during those mornings lift maintenance and hopefully the lift will open today.

We might actually get to do some boating now!

Top end of the Weaver has gone above record levels!!

Does that mean I can explore Winsford Bottom Flash properly without running aground??

Yes, levels seriously up. A lot of work being done by owners and yards alike but sadly a few boats have gone down and or broke from moorings.

Northwich section is well up, the worse of the lot I believe, maybe as much as 6-8ft above normal levels.

Looking at various photos it does look like there is one boat moored on them. The pontoons on the Weaver all have some impressively tall piles.

Tall piles must be painful !  ?

Particularly for short people as they may drag on the ground or, perhaps worse, in a crowd someone may stand on them.

I regret placing those images in your minds and am now taking myself off for a damned good talking to.  Sorry :(
