At one point I had 2, first bought for £30 second hand, 2nd taken from the old stove when I fitted a new one.

I did give one away to someone who had a mid winter glass crisis.

We have three squirrel doors on our boat, so there. One on each squirrel, and a spare from the squirrel we broke up a few years back, along with spare side, bottom and flue collar.

When replacing the glass, be sure to clean off any rust inside the lip, and don't overtighten the clips. There may be a very slight deformation of the door when heated up/cooled down that may crack your glass. Any ingress of air through the crack will reduce the fires ability to draw through the bottom vent, in exactly the same way as the top vent. You can check for spillage round the crack with a smoke match, or rolled up tissue which will smoke when lit. Holding this next to the crack will show any spillage or draw.

Any movement is taken up by the rope seal between the glass and the door.
